Legal basis for the processing of personal data
- Insofar as we obtain the consent of the data subject for processing operations of personal data, Art. 6 (1) lit. a EU DS-GVO serves as the legal basis. You may revoke this processing for the future at any time in accordance with Art. 7 (3) EU DS-GVO vis-à-vis us.

- If processing is necessary to protect a legitimate interest of our company or a third party and if the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject are not overridden, Art. 6 (1) f EU DS-GVO serves as the legal basis for the processing. In this case, you have a right to object in accordance with Art. 21 EU DS-GVO.
Data deletion and storage period
Personal data will be deleted within 14 days as soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply. Storage may take place beyond this if this has been provided for by legally prescribed retention obligations to which our company is subject.
Provision of the website
Use of hosting service providers
Our website is hosted on servers located in the EU by a hosting service provider on the basis of contract data processing to Art. 28 EU DS-GVO. As part of its services, the hosting service provider may have access to personal data of our users, in particular to technical data that is generated as part of the technical communication between you and our website (e.g. server log files). He may not use these for his own purposes. The use of a hosting service provider is based on our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f EU DS-GVO in the provision of infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, e-mail dispatch and security services.
Server log files
When you visit our website or use its services, the device with which you access the page automatically transmits log data (connection data) to our server. The corresponding information consists of:
- Type and version of the browser you are using,
- Type and version of the operating system you are using,
- Referrer URL of the page from which you arrived at our website,
- Date and time you accessed our website,
- Name of the sub-pages you accessed,
- IP address of your computer system,
- Amount of data transferred in each case.
The collected data is used exclusively for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operation, security and optimization of the offer. For security reasons, however, we reserve the right to subsequently check the log data if there is a justified suspicion of illegal use based on concrete indications. The data will not be stored longer than necessary for this purpose. This collection is based on our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f EU DS-GVO.
Cookies are small text files that are automatically created by your browser and stored on your terminal device when you visit our forum website. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. Most of the cookies we use are deleted at the end of the browser session (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your computer and enable us to recognize your computer the next time you visit us (so-called permanent or cross-session cookies). Thanks to these files, it is possible, for example, for you to receive information on the site that is specifically tailored to your interests.
Security of your data
We use technical and organizational security measures to adequately protect the data you provide against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. We therefore use SSL encryption for the transmission of confidential content, such as inquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" as well as by the lock symbol in your browser line. If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties. Our security measures are further developed according to the state of the art.
If you contact us (e.g. via contact form, e-mail, telephone, social media), your personal data will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing the request and any associated follow-up questions pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. b EU DS-GVO (in the context of pre-contractual measures) or pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f EU DS-GVO (general inquiries). We do not pass on this data without your respective consent.
The data you provide will remain with us until you request us to delete it, object to its storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (i.e. after we have completed processing your request), provided that this does not conflict with any statutory retention obligations.
Registration for the "GoToWebinar" webinar
If you register for a webinar on our forum, personal data will be collected. This includes the name, address, company, industry as well as the telephone number and e-mail address as contact and communication data.
Your data will be processed to handle the registration process, interest analysis and communication regarding the webinar and other topics. For this purpose, we use "GoToWebinar", a service of LogMeIn Ireland Limited, Bloodstone Building Block C, 70 Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland. LogMeIn processes your information on our behalf. Any further disclosure to third parties will only take place if they participate in the webinar. The processing of your personal data is carried out on the basis of the execution of the contract (pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b EU DS-GVO). Deletion of this data is carried out in accordance with the statutory retention obligations.
The analysis measures listed below and used by us are carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) a EU DS-GVO (consent). With the use of these analysis measures, we want to ensure a needs-based design and the ongoing optimization of our forum. By means of the analysis tools, we record the use of our forum pseudonymously and evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer.
You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future.
Google Tag Manager
The Google Tag Manager is used on our website. Google Tag Manager is a solution from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4 Ireland with which we can manage website tags via an interface. The tool itself (which implements the tags) is a cookie-less domain that does not collect any personal data. The Google Tag Manager takes care of triggering other tags, which in turn may collect data. The Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If a deactivation has been made by the user at the domain or cookie level, this remains in place for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager. The tags used are named separately below and can be edited individually by you in the privacy settings, for example by deactivating cookies for these elements.

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4 Ireland. Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. Deletion of user and event data takes place automatically after 14 months.
We have activated the IP anonymization function on this forum website. This means that your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google.

Order data processing
We have concluded an order data processing agreement with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.
Demographic characteristics with Google Analytics
This website uses the "demographic characteristics" function of Google Analytics. This allows reports to be generated that contain statements about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google as well as visitor data from third-party providers. This data cannot be assigned to a specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time via the ad settings in your Google account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as shown in the item "Objection to data collection".
Third-party content and services
Based on our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f EU DS-GVO, content, services and services of other providers that complement our offer are integrated within our online offer. With the use of the following services, we want to ensure a demand-oriented design and continuous optimization of our website.
We use "Google reCAPTCHA" (hereinafter "reCAPTCHA") on our website. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4 Ireland. In order to ensure sufficient data security when submitting forms, we use the reCAPTCHA service of the Google company in certain cases. This is primarily used to distinguish whether the input is made by a natural person or improperly by machine and automated processing. For this purpose, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis begins automatically as soon as you visit the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, time spent by the website visitor on the website or mouse movements made by the user).
In the event that IP anonymization is activated on this website, however, your IP address will be truncated beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Google uses this information to evaluate your use of this service. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of reCAPTCHA is not merged with other data from Google. The deviating data protection provisions of the Google company apply to this data. The processing is based on our legitimate interest to protect our web offers from abusive automated spying and from SPAM.
Further information on Google's data protection policies can be found at: https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/ and https://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/android.html.
This website uses functions of the lead identification and ad targeting service Albacross. The provider is Albacross Nordic AB, Kungsgatan 26, 111 35 Stockholm, Sweden.

The data Albacross collects and uses for this purpose is information about the IP address from which you visited our website and technical information that enables Albacross to distinguish different visitors from the same IP address.
